Despite being in office for just over a year, James Malone has put his time to good use and established a distinct track record of action:
- He immediately took on AI sexual harassment in schools. Following a distressing incident at a local school, Malone reached across the aisle and brought people together to pass a law protecting students from future cyberbullying.
- Malone has sponsored or co-sponsored nearly 100 bills since being sworn in, focusing directly on the issues Lancaster County residents have emphasized matter most to them.
- He has worked to deliver Sunday hunting protections as well as a working family tax credit designed to save local families money each year.
- Malone has led on critical ethics reform, including pushing a strict gift ban for elected officials and public employees to ensure the public knows their representatives are not being bought by special interests.
- In a closely divided 27-23 chamber, Malone has intentionally built strong relationships across the aisle, recognizing that getting anything done requires working productively with people who do not always agree with him.
